About us

Port Tarakohe Services Limited (PTSL) manages 82 hectares of land adjacent to Port Tarakohe in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Golden Bay is located in the South Island's north-west corner.

The land is owned by one private company, Port Tarakohe Limited (PTL) and PTSL leases the land from PTL.

In 2001, the land was purchased from Golden Bay Cement Company Limited (GBC). GBC operated a cement works on the site between 1910 and 1988. The six iconic hillside silos being the Golden Bay cement works only remnants.

The operational limestone quarry within the property’s boundaries assists with land development. There are extensive development sites and roading infrastructure now in place.

PTSL continues to improve the land for future developments.

PTSL is passionate about Golden Bay and its community. We feel privileged to be the custodians of such a unique piece of land where industrial activity can sit immediately adjacent to such outstanding natural beauty.
